Wow, a bald eagle that must have been so neat to see. Where did you see it, in your yard or in a neighbors? It reminds me of the verse Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Hawks are the biggest we see in our area, though when we first moved in we saw an eagle flying. I think those big birds are here because we have swamp and large trees at the end of our block and the Great Dismal Swamp is not far off.
