What's Up? Er... Down

So, here's what we've been doing a lot lately... digging!! Yes, more digging. Thankfully, we're done now (I think.). At least till the next project pops up. Enough snow has melted so that everything is muddy now... Ü
We were trying to find some pipes that come out of our barn, so our very nice neighbor helped us dig this nice big hole with his backhoe....

And we hit water. We have a lot of ground water around our place.
Chip, of course, doesn't mind the digging... or the water... obviously.

Do you see this hole? This hole, here. Well, now there is no hole - it's all filled in and we're off to work on another project now!

  1. Wow that dig looks like great fun.
Wish I could help you. It reminded me of the project that our two families did when we put up your pool in Guam.

Regarding the ground water you found, do you have a well? We put a well in on our property in Virginia.

  2. Yes, we have a well on our property, and we also get irrigation water from our creeks. It's so nice to have the water - especially out here where it's (really) dry in summer!!

  3. Can you and the animals drink from your well, or is it just for the plants?

  4. We use the well for all our house water, actually. We don't have any off-property water like in the city. We don't drink out of the creek - that's for the plants and animals. Ü
