Journey to the Heart!!!
Hey, everyone!!
Most of ya'll read this when I posted on on my blog... but we're back!! Roberta and I were at a ten-day conference called Journey to the Heart. We had an amazing time learning about God and fellowshipping with the other girls. Dad traveled with us and stayed in Wisconsin with his parents during our conference, then picked us up, and we flew home. Here are a few pictures of our time!!
For the rest of the family,
Hannah

The sunrise at the airport was beautiful!!
Roberta uses a unique method of waiting for the next flight.
Want an apple?
How about a smile instead?

This is one of the buildings at IBLP headquarters in Chicago, where we began our conference. We stayed here at headquarters for two days, then drove up to Michigan.
On the way back to Chicago... Brooke's van blew a tire! The girls got the tire off and were all set to put the spare on when it was discovered that the guys who had put the spare in put the wrong size tire in the trailer!!! We were only a little ways from the Northwoods, so the guys came out and brought us the right tire. SO! That was an adventure...
Becky, Me, Roberta, and Emily - old friends from Rhode Island!! It was so great to see ya'll again!
Dad came to pick us up afterwards, and we drove north to Milwaukee again.

Connecting with the world again after ten days of connecting with only God. Connecting with God is a whole lot more satisfying!! (just so you know, that photo was totally staged. the feet and all.)
A sunset the next morning!
And I close with this picture of Dad, in the airport... and don't worry - he doesn't usually make faces as goofy as this one!! =)

Happy Resurrection Sunday!!
What an experience it would be to have been there all those years ago. Jesus, the One who was crucified for our sins has risen from death! He is ALIVE! What a joyful, amazing day! I can just imagine being there on that glorious first Easter morning. He loved us enough to pay the penalty for our sins, then live again so we could live in eternity with Him... FOREVER!
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come; Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39, KJV

Happy Easter Sunday, ya'll!! I hope you have a blessed celebration of our Savior's resurrection.
I'd like to share this amazing song with ya'll. Don't let today's version of Easter cloud the glory of Jesus' victory over death!!

In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song.
This Cornerstone, this solid ground;
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace;
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All;
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe;
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For every sin on Him was laid.
Here in the death of Christ I live!
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain.
Then bursting forth in glorious Day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine,
Bought with the precious blood of Christ!
No guilt in life, no fear in death;
This is the power of Christ in me.
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man;
Can ever pluck me from His hand.
‘til He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!
