Shawney

Shawney - August 10, 2006 - March 5, 2008

Unfortunately, we have lost our first cat....Shawney (Shawn-ee) was half a Siamese - half orange tabby cat, and the best half of both. She was the first mouser on the farm - and was also the best - affectionately nicknamed "Ace" by Dad. Shawney used to bring us mice from the barn after her late nights, thankfully, she stopped soon after she grew used to the place. Her favorite person was always Mom, and Mom was the one who could calm her down on her most grumpy days. Stuart, her son, has now taken on the mousing responsibilities along with his pal, Zoe - but we'll always remember Shawney was the first mouser.
