Moving In

Well, here I am again, during a break in the hectic day of moving! The movers didn't actually get here until yesterday instead of Monday. They couldn't fit a 53ft semi truck into our driveway, so they have to shuttle everything from a nearby deserted parking lot on a smaller U-Haul truck. It takes a little bit longer that way, but we're doing great! Yesterday, Adam, (the driver) had four men with him to unload. Two were only working that day, and two were supposed to show up again at 7:30 this morning. They never came! Adam is using Joe to help him unload and carry the things from his truck. We're actually doing really well! I am working with the papers,. Every box is numbered with a specific tag and number, so as Joe and Adam unload, they call out the numbers and I mark them off on a sheet. Personally, I think it's easier than unloading a truck (the boys) unpacking (Dad) directing "traffic" that goes into the house (Mom) and painting dressers (Roberta and Sarah), but Abby's job beats them all! Running around doing whatever you want, playing with your newly discovered toys, puppies, kitties, and just generally having fun!

Well, I hope you all have a great day. We're going to, I hope! Keep praying for us as we finish the moving and start getting settled!

Bye for right now,
Hannah

Pets and More!

Hi! Pictures of the cats and puppies, as promised! They are so cute, aren't they? Ma-ma cat, the mother cat, already caught six mice, and in three days, too! She is part Siameize, however you spell that!

Ma-ma cat nursing Stuart, a rare happening. Usually, she never lets him do this, much less for a camera!

Hannah and Chip, on the puppies' first day here.

Ma-ma cat, asleep on the woodpile. She LOVES it in that woodshed!

Mom caught this picture of the barn while the sun was setting, after a day of Seattle type rain! We thought it looked just like a postcard.

Work, Work, Work!

Well...Here I am again, after working and taking breaks and making cookies for hungry workers! I got some pics of our workdays, and our puppies! I'll get more pictures of the aniamls soon. But, here they are! Oh, and by the way, the moving man called dad today, and told him, If you folks don't take this stuff off our hands today, we're puting it in storage and you have to pay for it! Dad said, well, where is it? The reply- in 50 minutes away! We're moving like crazy to get everything done before they show up at noon.
Love you all, Hannah

Mom, painting around the light switch in Sarah's and my room.

Joe, the master floor sander, hard at work in the hall way!

Puppies in the laundry! Which we have to do by hand till our washer and dryer come today!

Joe's name in the ceiling paint. He did every ceiling in the house, complete with his name! Way to go, Joe!

Update!

Well, hello, everyone! I'm sure we've changed a-lot since you all have last been updated! Here are the "new things" on our agenda:
1) Two new mouser cats for the barns and sheds. Shani and Stuart. (Stuart is a 12-week-old kitten!)
2) Two seven week old 99.5% border collies and .5% blue heeler puppies, Rocky and Chip. They're adorable, and they're acting exactly like puppies. Chewing, fighting, biting, wrestling, you name it!
3) Painting the rooms in the house, in addition to the machine shop, which was an ugly peach-orange-y pink! Yuck!
4) Sanding floors, sweeping barns, organizing woodsheds, leveling hilly pastures, weeding, cutting lawns, moving rocks, and re-doing the creek are just a few examples of our normal day. Well, we don't do all that in one day, just a few of those things! Here's some pics to help explain our situation.

Abby, rejoicing that our house is going to be ours!

The Fire that was near our Kettle Falls Campground. Thankfully, it was farther away than it looks!

Farmer Dave and his new tractor. Abby, also helped out.
