OUR PLACE

If you've read our About Us page, you'll know why we are here, settled down on a little seven acre farm in Washington. But many of our dear family and friends haven't ever been here with us. So here's a virtual tour for ya'll to enjoy! Though this is by no means a replacement for a real visit from you... hint hint... =)

This is the view looking North from our second driveway.
Our gorgeous red barns and silver silo, built in the 1960s, are beautifully preserved and serve as county landmarks. We've been told we have the prettiest place in the county, and we give all the credit to the Lord for finding us such an awesome property!!
.
This is the second barn, aptly named by us... the "Big Barn."
In the foreground you can see our lovely and bountiful garden... well... when it's growing season, that is. It's very hot and dry around here in the summer, so we're very thankful for our two creeks and abundant shade!!

Home, sweet home. =)
When the snow is deep, we stay warm and cozy in our little gray farmhouse that we've made into a lovely home. It can get pretty chilly around here, and we experience an abundance of winter weather... snow, ice, rain, fog, sleet, clouds, blizzards. That wood stove sure comes in handy when the power's out, too!

Though the snow is now deep around the blueberry bushes, I couldn't resist putting a picture of our cute little fruit for ya'll!!!

Soon, this drifted snow and slick ice will go, and we'll be blessed with sunshine and green grass again!! When that happens, I'm planning on taking you on a real tour... exploring our barns, hills, woods, pastures, meadows, home, orchard, blueberry field, garden, and creeks.

Yeah, I'll bet you didn't know all that could fit on seven acres, did you?

We told you we were efficient, didn't we?

=)
